Park Ji-sung admits it would be a 'big loss' if Rio Ferdinand missed Manchester United's clash with Inter Milan, but has backed Jonny Evans to deputise.
Ferdinand is fighting to shake off an ankle injury suffered at Fulham in order to be available for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League encounter with Inter.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is hopeful the centre-half will be fit, but will turn to Evans to partner Nemanja Vidic for the second leg of the last 16 tie if Ferdinand is ruled out.
And Park believes that Evans, who filled in for the suspended Vidic in the 0-0 draw in the first leg, can replace Ferdinand, despite acknowledging the importance of United's stand-in skipper.
"I don't know if it is a big problem and I hope it isn't," said Park.
"It would be a big loss for us if he missed the game, although Jonny has done very well for us this season and he can replace Rio and do well again.
"He gained experience from the match in the San Siro against them and I hope he can do okay."
Meanwhile, South Korean midfielder Park believes United can win the Quintuple this season after reaching the FA Cup semi-finals with a 4-0 victory at Fulham.
He added: "It was important for us to win against Fulham with the Milan game coming up.
"It gives us more confidence for that. We're very happy with the way we played and we want to take that into the Inter game.
"We feel we can win all five trophies. What we are doing is the only thing we can do - which is to concentrate on each and every single game, one at a time.
"Then, at the end of the season, we can really go for the trophies."
