In-form striker Wayne Rooney insists Manchester United's success as a team is more important to him than his increasing goal tally.
The England international is in red-hot form of late, scoring 14 in as many games, and requires just eight more goals to equal his personal best of 34 in all competitions.
A Rooney brace propelled United to the top of the Premier League with a 2-0 win over West Brom on Sunday, a feat the 26-year-old values higher than his goal count.
"I know how many goals I need to achieve it (his personal best) but I am not really focused on that at the minute," said the striker, after netting his 25th and 26th goals of the season.
"We have 10 games left and I just want to help us get those points we need to be successful. The most important thing is to win trophies."
Europe
Rooney was also on target with a brace in midweek as United suffered a Europa League defeat to Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
The Red Devils are having no such trouble in their domestic league though, having displaced rivals Manchester City at the summit of the table.
Rooney accepts that United's European form has been questionable this season, but believes they are not getting the credit they deserve for their league form.
He said: "Fair enough, Europe has been disappointing, but we have had really tough games in the Premier League.
"We have played a lot of the top teams. Sometimes we have not been at our best but we have still got the wins."
