The 22-year-old, who is under contract at Old Trafford until 2015, is currently on a season-long loan at Dutch club NEC.
But his agent Tonny Dullers says the player is not interested in a loan move next season and either wants to make his mark at Old Trafford or move on, with clubs such as Anderlecht, Genk and Ajax said to be interested, as well as English sides.
He told Belgium media: "Man United is happy with his progress. They want to loan him to a better team next season, but Marnick isn't keen on it.
"He wants to be promoted to the first team squad or a transfer. He still has a contract until 2015, but a lot depends on (Manchester United manager David) Moyes' future.
"If he stays, he'll probably let Marnick go, as he didn't oppose a loan. But if he is sacked, then maybe Marnick still has a future at Man United."
Regarding potential suitors, Dullers added: "I've a meeting with Genk's general manager Dirk Degraen next week and I'll meet the board of Anderlecht later on. Also Ajax and a few other Premier League teams made an enquiry.
"England is still our favourite destination, but the player's also open to a move to Belgium or Holland."
