Transfer news: Bebe eager for Benfica switch

Manchester United forward Bebe admits he is eager to finalise a move to Portuguese giants Benfica.

The 24-year-old has never been able to make an impact at Old Trafford and has been sent on loan for the last three seasons with Besiktas, Rio Ave and last term with Pacos de Ferreira.

He impressed at Pacos with 12 goals and that has been enough for Benfica to pursue a deal.

"I am waiting for them to tell me when I can travel, as far as I know the clubs are talking. It would be a good opportunity to relaunch my career. I'll certainly have more chances to play and show myself," he told Renascenca.

"I hope everything will be sorted out by the weekend. I want to put my head in place and work at 100 per cent, without any concerns."

Bebe insists that he wil not be loaned out for a fourth time.

"That certainly won't happen again," he said.

When asked how the feeling of playing for Benfica would be, Bebe said: "Benfica are a golden shop window, they have revealed several players, I hope the same happens with me."
