Sky Bet punters believe John Terry could remain a Chelsea player next season - but the bookmaker makes a move to Major League Soccer his most likely option.
The 35-year-old defender confirmed after Sunday's FA Cup win at MK Dons that he had not been offered a new contract for next season.
Terry, who has played nearly 700 games for the Stamford Bridge club, said after the 5-1 win that he had no plans to retire - but did not want to play for another Premier League club.
Sky Bet make a move to join former team-mate Frank Lampard in MLS the most likely option for the former England skipper at 4/6, with a switch to any Chinese club - following in the footsteps of Ramires - a 5/2 shot.
But the online bookmaker has cut the price on Terry remaining at Stamford Bridge from 8/1 to 6/1 after a string of bets.
Sky Bet's Dale Tempest said: "While the club don't seem to be prepared to offer him a deal at the moment a lot will depend on who is the new manager next season and whether he sees Terry as part of his plans.
"Our customers haven't been put off by the news and we've seen a string of bets on Terry remaining at The Bridge".
Chelsea appear to have left the door open for Terry, admitting in a statement: "John was advised that while no new deal was currently on the table, that situation could change in the coming months."
And speaking after Sunday's news, Sky Sports' Jamie Redknapp also predicted a twist in the tale.
He told Sky Sports News HQ: "He's the sort of guy that could have a fantastic run until the end of the season and they end up giving him a new contract at the end of the year.
"I still don't think it is the end of it yet, I still feel there could be a twist and turn in this one, you'd like to hope that Chelsea would see some sense and realise what this man still has to offer."
Guus Hiddink is in charge of the Blues until the end of the season with Chile boss Jorge Sampaoli (11/8) and Italy Antonio Conte (2/1) heading the betting to take over for the start of the 2016/17 season.
Sky Bet odds are subject to fluctuation.
