Dalla Bona has persistently been mooted with a return to his native Italy with the Rossoneri his most prominent suitors.
According to Ambrosini's agent Moreno Roggi, Milan are in negotiations with Chelsea to lure Dalla Bona away from Stamford Bridge.
Roggi revealed a move to The Premiership appeals to Ambrosini and a swap deal could prove to be the most attractive option for all parties.
"The chance to play for a prestigious English club such as Chelsea fascinates Ambrosini very much and he would not be disappointed by a transfer to The Premiership," Roggi told Calciomanager.it.
"In Milan, no player is indispensible. I know that the Rossoneri are dealing with the purchase of Dalla Bona from Chelsea and The Blues have spoken to me because Massimo is a player who very much appeals to Claudio Ranieri.
"I have still not received any communication from Milan but it is obvious that there is a good possibility that Ambrosini can move to London for next season."
The 24-year-old has spent the majority of his career at Giuseppe Meazza, although he has struggled with injuries this season.
He is now back in action and is targeting a place in Italy's World Cup squad, with a prominent showing in the Far East possibly hastening his departure from Milan.
Dalla Bona has been in and out of the Chelsea team in recent weeks and a summer exit from The Bridge is on the cards.
