Farinos has struggled to secure regular football in Milan since joining from Valencia in the summer of 2000.
He was initially part of an indifferent Inter side and has also been beset by injury problems while the arrival of Hector Cuper as coach failed to brighten his disposition.
Serie A duo Atalanta and Torino are both interested in landing the midfielder, with Inter keen to sell Farinos in the New Year.
But the stumbling block is Farinos's reticence to leave the club as he is under contract until 2005 and is content to remain with the nerazzurri.
Inter are eager to sell the 24-year-old to Atalanta, as that could enable them to have first option on defender Luciano Zauri.
Premiership outfit Chelsea have previously been linked with a swoop for Farinos as Blues coach Claudio Ranieri worked with the talented midfielder at Valencia.
