Signori link gathers pace

MOVES to take Bologna's veteran marksman Giuseppe Signori to The Premiership appear to be gathering pace.

The Italian ace admitted at the end of January that he was looking to secure a move to England.

Chelsea have been linked with Signori for a number of months and it appears that Stamford Bridge boss Claudio Ranieri is seriously considering bringing the former Azzurri star to West London.

The prospect of teaming up Gianfranco Zola and Signori is an idea that conceivably appeals to Ranieri.

A move to London would seem to be the most likely prospect for Signori and that has seen both Fulham and Tottenham also linked with possible moves.

The Blues remain favourites to land Signori, should he decide to extend his career in England.

Signori is out of contract at Bologna in the summer and he looks set to take a lucrative move abroad somewhere, with England, America or the Middle East the options open to him at this stage.
