The Malian international left Auxerre for Valencia last summer after signing a pre-contract agreement with the Spanish giants.
The 19-year-old decided to leave Auxerre after growing increasingly frustrated at his lack of first team opportunities at Stade Abbe Deschamps.
Sissoko attracted a great deal of interest at Auxerre and he admitted he was offered good deals by Arsenal and Chelsea before moving to La Mestalla.
"Here life is beautiful. I could have signed at Arsenal or Chelsea that proposed me much more money," Sissoko told L'Equipe.
"But I was much attracted by Spanish football. I think I made a good decision to come to Valencia.
"At Auxerre I played with the Under-18 team but not with the reserve team. I can't understand why Guy Roux never tried me in first team."
