Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu has publicly apologised to mananger Jose Mourinho.Adrian Mutu has attempted to make his peace with Jose Mourinho by apologising to the Chelsea manager.
The duo were reported to have had a major falling out after the player reported back from international duty with Romania.
Mourinho felt the former Parma star was not fit enough to turn out for his country due to a persistent knee injury, but Mutu went against his wishes and played 90 minutes regardless.
The pair subsequently clashed, but Mutu has now attempted to try and salvage his Chelsea career by issuing a public apology.
"It was never my intention to insult the manager and I deeply regret the situation," he explained.
"I apologise for the inconvenience caused to the club and the management but all I want to do is play.
"I am perhaps guilty of wanting to play too much sometimes, but the manager's decision is final and I accept that.
"The gaffer is the gaffer and that's it.
"I have a burning passion to play football but would never attack the manager.
"He has my full support and I just want to show what I can do on the pitch."
Mutu has yet to start a game for The Blues this term having fallen behind Didier Drogba, Eidur Gudjohnsen and Mateja Kezman in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
