Shamed Romanian striker Adrian Mutu is set to train with former club Dinamo Bucharest.Shamed Romanian striker Adrian Mutu is set to train with former club Dinamo Bucharest, while he serves a seven-month suspension for failing a drugs test.
Mutu, who has been sacked by Chelsea for the offence, is unable to play again until May 18 next year after being punished by The Football Association.
It has been claimed the 25-year-old has several offers from interested clubs, with Arsenal and Bolton Wanderers both hinting they would be willing to offer Mutu a lifeline.
In the meantime, Mutu is due to maintain his fitness in his homeland after asking to train with last season's Romanian champions.
The forward spent two years with Dinamo before he joined Internazionale in Serie A in 2000 and has been welcomed back by his old club.
"Mutu expressed his wish to train with us sometime over the next few days," Dinamo coach Ioan Andone told Reuters.
"I saw him very determined to work hard. Here, he will be among good friends.
"Mutu had a beautiful time at Dinamo. He won the title with us, so it seemed a normal choice to make a fresh start where he felt good."
Meanwhile, Mutu's quest to land a contract with a new club will be aided by new representatives, after he dismissed his management company.
The ex-Parma ace had been represented by the Popescu and Becali Sport Management Company, but he has dispensed with their services.
Gheorghe Popescu said: "Mutu came to our office and told us of his decision not to co-operate with our company any more.
"He did not give any reason for his decision."
