Notts County insist they have yet to field any calls for promising defender Kelvin Wilson.Notts County boss Ian Richardson insists he has yet to field any calls for sought-after prospect Kelvin Wilson.
The 19-year-old defender has impressed for County this season and has reportedly attracted admiring glances from a host of clubs higher up the football pyramid.
With Thursday's transfer deadline looming, Richardson is bracing himself for bids but is confident of fending off interest until the summer at least.
"There have been no offers yet, no calls, no nothing,'' Richardson told the Evening Post.
"There has been a lot of interest in terms of clubs coming to watch him, but we have not had any calls in the past few weeks.
"We have not had any inquiries about any other players either."
Premiership clubs Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal, West Brom and Bolton are all thought to be tracking Wilson, along with Championship outfits Crewe and Sheffield United.
It is likely that a bid in the region of £1 million would need to be lodged for County to part with their prized asset, and Richardson admits that the club would have to consider any generous offer.
Richardson concluded: "Everyone knows how highly we rate Kelvin.
''He has what it takes to go a long way in the game.
''We want to hang on to him for as long as possible but if we receive a significant offer, it might be in the best interests of the club to consider it."
