Birmingham boss Steve Bruce is weighing up an offer for Luton stopper Curtis Davies.Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce is weighing up an offer for Luton Town defender Curtis Davies as he closes on Jiri Jarosik.
Bruce is still looking to add to his squad before the close of the transfer window and is aiming to bring in Chelsea midfielder Jarosik on loan.
Jarosik has been pushed to the periphery of the Chelsea squad following the club's record outlay on Michael Essien.
The Czech Republic ace is due to join Blues on a season-long loan and could be followed to St Andrews by Davies.
"Jiri likes to play off the front two and that is his best position," said Bruce.
"Davies is also one we have had a look at."
Luton are bracing themselves for the departure of Davies, who was named League One's Player of the Year last season.
The centre half is tipped for a bright future and has been linked with several Premiership sides, including Fulham, Tottenham and West Brom.
Hatters boss Mike Newell has confirmed there have been enquiries for the young stopper and is fearing Davies' sale before the transfer window shuts in less than a fortnight.
