Adrian Mutu has spoken about his contentment with life in Italy.Adrian Mutu has spoken about his contentment with life in Italy after what was a controversial and short-lived spell at Chelsea.
The Romanian striker was axed by the Premiership champions after being found positive of taking cocaine, before being snapped up by Juventus in January 2005.
After what was a bright start to his career at Stamford Bridge, Mutu found himself in the headlines for all the wrong reasons when he failed a drugs test and was handed a lengthy ban by football's ruling body.
Despite the mark against his name, the talented hit-man was not short of suitors and once his ban was served, it was Juventus that came up with the right offer and he has responded by grabbing six goals in 11 starts this season.
Mutu believes the move has proved beneficial for both parties, claiming he is satisfied with the way his career has panned out since swapping West London for Turin.
''I am playing in a very good team and I am playing good,'' Mutu told Sky Sports News. ''I am very happy.
''I think I went through a lot but I have come through it well. I have improved myself.
''Nobody has mistrusted me (at Juventus) and I think I've paid them back.
''I have nothing against Chelsea. I hope for them they are going to do very good things.
''As a player then, maybe I was still like a child. But now I'm different and have made changes.
''I like everything now and I hope to improve as a footballer and also perhaps as a human being.''
