Everton striker James Beattie is planning to get under Jose Mourinho's skin.James Beattie is planning to get under Jose Mourinho's skin again when Everton meet Chelsea in the FA Cup on Saturday.
The striker rattled Mourinho after the 1-1 draw between the two sides earlier in the season, by saying that The Premiership champions found it difficult to cope with The Toffees' physical game.
The Portuguese tactician responded by telling Beattie to concentrate on his own game, but the 27-year-old intends to repeat the trick, by knocking Chelsea out of the FA Cup.
"Mourinho did bite on it," he recalled. "But I just said what our game plan was.
"We will be up against it again. It's another easy one after Arsenal.
"But we will be stood there in front of them, 11 versus 11, and that will be it."
Beattie is finally returning to the sort of form that made him such a force in Southampton's colours, having scored the winner against The Gunners last weekend, and he has vowed to go from strength to strength.
"My fitness is now a weapon I use and it is great to have it. It is a big part of my game," he explained.
"Everyone here gives 100 percent but then there are special players within the team who are very talented. The mixture of the two is a great formula to have."
