John Gregory wants to keep Chelsea's Michael Mancienne until the end of the season.
John Gregory says he hopes to secure the services of Chelsea's Michael Mancienne until the end of the season.
The centre-half has impressed in his short spell Loftus Road, but his initial loan deal expires later this month.
Mancienne has already hinted he would prefer to extend his stay and get more first-team games under his belt.
Jimmy Smith recently agreed to remain a Rangers player until the end of the season and Gregory hopes to able to reach a similar agreement for Smith's Chelsea team-mate.
"Chelsea have a representative watching Jimmy and Michael at every one of our games," said the Rangers boss.
"Jimmy and Michael play with so much passion for Rangers. They are not even our players, which proves that they are fantastic professionals."
