Ian Holloway has denied that Plymouth's Dan Gosling is set for a move to Chelsea.
Plymouth manager Ian Holloway has dismissed speculation that Pilgrims teenager Dan Gosling is set for a move to Chelsea.
Gosling, 17, and midfield team-mate Luke Summerfield, 19, were recently invited to train with the Premiership champions by Jose Mourinho.
The move was welcomed by the Championship outfit as they bid to establish links with the London club but Holloway denied suggestions he is keen to cash on his young talent.
"We have got a duty of care to him [Gosling]. He has got two years left on the contract he signed with us when he was 17 last month and, for his own good, he needs to see that out.
"This is not about selling him. It's about giving him a taste of life at Chelsea, seeing what it's like and comparing him to their young players.
"I'm not trying to get rid of my young players. I'm trying to inspire them to be as good as they can be."
