Chelsea striker Claudio Pizarro insists he can handle any criticism of his performances for the Peru national team.
Pizarro has encountered problems with the national federation in the past and was also at odds with former coach Franco Navarro.
But, speaking after Peru's 2-2 draw with Colombia at the weekend, the forward brushed aside any criticism after he missed several chances.
"I don't care what people say because I don't have to show them anything," Pizarro told Futbol Peruano.com.
"I only have to work hard for my family and my team-mates. I am really calm about what I do.
"Of course, I don't like to hear people saying things about me, but I know that it's something normal in my work and I know how to deal with those kind of situations."
Meanwhile, Pizarro says the focus must now turn to the game with Bolivia following the stalemate with Colombia.
He added: "Now we have a new match to think about. We have a new test, this time against Bolivia, and we will try to do things better.
"We have to try to avoid what happened against Colombia and we have to take possession of the ball."
