Chelsea defender still a target for Italian giants
AC Milan are refusing to give up on their bid to sign Branislav Ivanovic from Chelsea.
The Serbian defender is yet to make a first-team appearance at Stamford Bridge, having arrived at the club in January from Lokomotiv Moscow in a £9million deal.
The San Siro outfit looked to have missed out on their target when Ivanovic's agent claimed he was regarded as 'indispensable' by the Premier League club.
But vice-president Adriano Galliani claims they have been receiving mixed messages from the West London outfit.
Ideas
Galliani told the Italian press: "Ivanovic was, or better, is one of our aims.
"Chelsea firstly told us yes, then no. We are looking for a central defender and should we be able to find a name which suits us, we will sign him.
"It would be useless signing a player who would never play. We have a few ideas, so we will see."
