England new boy Michael Mancienne insists his long-term aspirations lie with Chelsea and not Wolves, where he is currently playing on loan.
The young central defender has proved a revelation at Molineux, with a series of composed and mature displays having earned the 20-year-old an international call-up.
Fabio Capello has clearly been impressed with a player yet to make his Chelsea debut, but Mancienne is in no rush to leave Stamford Bridge permanently in the pursuit of regular first-team football.
On the contrary, he is more than content to continue to learn his trade with Championship pace-setters Wolves, before bidding to line up alongside John Terry at Chelsea.
"I don't know what is going to happen in the immediate future, but long-term I want to make it at Chelsea," said Mancienne.
"Someone from Chelsea comes to watch me in all the home games and some of the away matches, too, so it's up to me to perform.
"But Chelsea is my club. As a kid my favourite player was Marcel Desailly. Now I admire JT.
"I want to establish myself alongside him one day."
