Backup keeper agrees one year stay at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea back-up goalkeeper Hilario has signed a one-year contract extension at Stamford Bridge. The 35-year-old, whose contract was due to expire this summer, has made 37 appearances in all competitions since joining the Blues in 2006. The Portuguese played just once last term - in the 3-1 Community Shield defeat by Manchester United last August - after 11 appearances the season before. But he has done enough to earn a contract extension to provide back-up - along with Ross Turnbull - to No.1 Petr Cech.
