Emre Can admits he is flattered by interest from Serie A giants Juventus but says he remains committed to Liverpool, despite failing to sign a new deal.

The 23-year-old's contract at Anfield expires at the end of the season, with the club and player yet to agree terms to keep the Germany international and Bayern Munich academy graduate in Merseyside.

Can has scored seven goals from 95 league appearances since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2014 but, despite insisting his focus is firmly on the Reds, the midfielder revealed he is unsure what the future holds.

"It's always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but currently I am only focused on the season with Liverpool," Can told German newspaper Kicker.

Can has started six of those eight fixtures and feels he has progressed well during his time at Liverpool - a club he says he "loves" to play for.

"I made forward steps in my three years here," he told The Times.

"It is my fourth season now in Liverpool and I played a lot of games. I am really enjoying being here. It is great club.

"Of course I can play better sometimes, I know that, but I think my development has been good so far.

"I try to be better and I train hard for that."

"Why should my commitment be any different? I have a contract playing for the club, I earn my money here and I love to play for Liverpool."
