The gifted forward enjoyed a marvellous World Cup but has been out of favour under Fatih Terim with Gala, until recently, as the Istanbul outfit crashed out of the Champions League.
Inter are leading the hunt for the 26-year-old, and coach Hector Cuper will watch him during the friendly game with Italy on Wednesday evening, when the shaven-headed star will surely be in the shop window.
Italian sources claim Sas will reject an offer from Liverpool in order to play in Italy, as talks are underway between Inter director Giuliano Terrano and the player's agent over a three-year contract.
"There are Turkish players at my future club," disclosed Sas, hinting that he will be joining the neroazzurri ranks, as Emre Belozoglu and Buruk Okan are already on the Milan side's books.
That might not be the end of the contingent of Turks at Giuseppe Meazza as the World Cup bronze medallists could provide another player in the shape of Aston Villa's out-of-favour Alpay.
The imposing centre back is believed to be attracting interest from both Germany and Spain, but Cuper is an admirer of his talents, and is keen to bring him to Italy ahead of the 2003/2004 campaign.
