REAL ZARAGOZA have confirmed to planetfootball.com that they are interested in Liverpool's Milan Baros.
The Spanish outfit are looking to strengthen their squad after securing promotion back to La Primera next term, and have identified the Czech starlet as the perfect reinforcement to their forward line.
However, the Aragon-based club have conceded that they would not be able to finance a permanent transfer for the 21-year-old, and are instead looking to set up a loan deal.
"We are looking at a lot of players, principally in defence and attack, but we can't go mad on the economic front," said Zaragoza boss Paco Flores.
"In the case of Baros, we can only hope for a season-long loan."
It would appear unlikely that the Merseysiders would be prepared to sacrifice the crowd-pleasing Czech.
Zaragoza are on the verge of selling striker Yordi to Sevilla and so will be keen to recruit a proven hit-man to fill the void left by his departure.
As well as Baros, the club have also been linked with a swoop for Argentine defender Diego Milito, though they are sure to face stiff competition for the highly-rated Independiente star.
Real Madrid's Argentine midfielder Esteban Cambiasso is another name on Flores's list of targets.
