Le Tallec is spending the season on loan in his homeland with St Etienne but is willing to return to his parent club.
Liverpool are bereft of attacking options with Djibril Cisse out for the season, Luis Garcia sidelined for a month and Milan Baros not ready for a first team return.
After a fine start to his spell with St Etienne, when he scored on his full debut, Le Tallec has struggled to force his way into Elie Baup's plans on a regular basis following an ankle injury.
He admits he is disappointed with his situation in Ligue 1 and would be willing to return to Anfield to ease manager Rafa Benitez's problems.
But Liverpool must first strike an accord with St Etienne if Le Tallec's wish to don a Reds shirt again this season is to be fulfilled.
"My injury has ruined everything," lamented Le Tallec to L'Equipe. "I have troubles due to that.
"I won't be against coming back to Liverpool. My club is Liverpool.
"I asked to leave but, if they need me, there is no problem.
"Even if it would prove to be troublesome to quit Les Verts, if needed, I could come back straight away."
