Albert Celades and Cesar will both be leaving Real Madrid in the summer.Real Madrid have confirmed that Premiership targets Albert Celades and Cesar will be leaving the club at the end of the season.
Both players will be out of contract in the summer, and Real insist neither will now be handed a new deal.
The duo held talks with the Primera titans about their contractual situations after the transfer deadline passed with neither having left the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Real revealed on their official website that no agreement had been reached, and that both players would now be moving on when their deals expire in June.
"Real Madrid have not reached an agreement for the (contract) renewal of Cesar and Celades," read the Real statement.
"After cordial talks, the club would like to point out the excellent behaviour of both players at all times.
"Both the goalkeeper and the midfielder will now study offers from other clubs."
Cesar, 33, was recently linked with a move to Liverpool, but Scott Carson's arrival at Anfield seems likely to have put paid to a switch to Merseyside.
Celades is reported to be a target of Middlesbrough, and the Teessiders could well look to firm up their interest next summer given that the 29-year-old will be a free agent.
