Liverpool's Anthony Le Tallec is amazed at the sudden changes this year.Liverpool's Anthony Le Tallec has expressed his amazement at the speed in which the direction of his career has changed.
The former Le Havre star could be on the bench for Liverpool's UEFA Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen, just weeks after returning from a loan spell with St Etienne.
"It is strange," said Le Tallec. "In football everything can change very quickly.
"It is true that the coach Rafa Benitez was not happy with me when I left for France. When I came back he said I had to regain his trust.
"I have played four times for the reserves to get up to pace. I have scored and I have trained with the first team.
"I have taken advantage of the number of injuries and Steven Gerrard has told me that, if I work hard, then I can come back.
"I have played in the Uefa Cup so far, but I have a chance of playing in the biggest competition after the World Cup now.
"As long as I am part of the squad I won't be annoyed not to play.
"I am eager tonight because the atmosphere at Anfield will be fantastic."
