Harry Redknapp is 'annoyed' that Southampton players want to join Celtic.Harry Redknapp admits he is 'annoyed' that members of his Southampton squad have declared a wish to play for Celtic.
Former Saints boss Gordon Strachan has been trying to take Antti Niemi and Paul Telfer to Parkhead, while Rory Delap and Claus Lundekvam have been linked with The Bhoys.
Strachan has now ended his interest in Finnish keeper Niemi and Redknapp has dampened talk he is upset with his opposite number.
But Redknapp admits he is upset that his players are looking to jump ship and has urged them to stay to help Southampton return to The Premiership.
"I have no problems with him, I have never spoken to Strachan about Niemi, Delap, Telfer or Lundekvam," Redknapp told Sky Sports News.
"If Niemi's here he will put everything into his game but one or two others are saying they want to play for Celtic which is a bit strange.
"I get annoyed when people say they want to go and play for Celtic.
"They look and think we got relegated last year and suddenly they want to go and play somewhere else. I'd like them to look and think 'hang on we went down, let's get this team back up next year'.
"At the end of the day relegation is no one else's fault but the players. Suddenly they want to go off and play for Celtic. I read it in the papers and found it disturbing."
Redknapp is also remaining hopeful that Peter Crouch will stay on the South Coast, despite Liverpool's concerted attempts to sign the gangly striker.
He added: "At the moment they came and made an offer which the chairman turned down and they have not been back.
"West Ham made a better offer and that was turned down.
"I still hope he will stay with us. He is a top player, a one-off. You are not going to beat him in the air and with the right service he is unstoppable. He will be a big player in the first division."
