Hull's Paul Anderson and Liverpool's John Welsh are all set to switch clubs.Promising Hull youngster Paul Anderson is set for a move to Liverpool, with John Welsh heading in the opposite direction.
Welsh, who has impressed during a loan spell with Peter Taylor's outfit, is to seal a permanent switch to Hull when the transfer window reopens in January.
Heading in the opposite direction, to Anfield, is Anderson, with the 17-year-old having impressed on Merseyside during a trial spell earlier in the season.
Hull chairman Adam Pearson admits he is disappointed to lose a player of Anderson's potential, but as he would have been able to leave The KC Stadium when his scholarship runs out in the summer, it appears there was little else he could have done.
"We don't want to lose Paul, but neither do we want to be in a situation whereby he moves to Liverpool when his scholarship expires and then we receive pittance for him at a tribunal,'' said Pearson.
"The fact is he wants to join Liverpool and will now do so in January in a swap for John Welsh. The ideal scenario would be to keep Paul and sign John permanently as well, but it's not to be."
