Bayern Munich are believed to be keeping tabs on Dario Srna.Bayern Munich are believed to be keeping tabs on Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Dario Srna.
The Bavarians are believed to be assessing a number of options in the transfer market, with coach Felix Magath concerned a number of his key players could move on.
With Michael Ballack yet to pledge his future to the club and Willy Sagnol also far from certain to remain at the Allianz Arena, Magath is casting his eye far and wide in search of options.
He dispatched scouts to the Uefa Cup meeting between Stuttgart and Shakhtar last week, with Croatian star Srna believed to be the object of desire.
Srna, who was a target for Liverpool in the summer, is being tipped to play a big part for Croatia at next summer's World Cup finals and Bayern may attempt to broker a deal prior to the tournament kicking off.
The midfielder's agent Igor Stimac has hinted Srna may be open to an offer from Bayern, but feels an approach could fall on deaf ears at Shakhtar.
"Last summer Liverpool offered é¼3.5 million, but [Shakhtar owner Rinat] Ahmetov rejected it," said Stimac. "I am not sure how he will react to a possible offer from Germany."
