Cheyrou wants Bordeaux stay

Bruno Cheyrou wants to sign a permanent deal at Bordeaux.

Liverpool's forgotten midfielder Bruno Cheyrou says that he wants to sign a permanent deal at Bordeaux, where he is currently on loan.

The 28-year-old was brought to Anfield in 2002 by Gerard Houllier from Lille, but failed to sparkle at Liverpool.

Cheyrou was packed off to Marseille on loan last season, and returned to France last summer to join Bordeaux on loan for the season.

Rafa Benitez does not see Cheyrou in his plans for the future and Les Girondins will try and move to sign him on a permanent deal sooner rather than later.

Cheyrou says he sees his future at Bordeaux, and wants to join them permanently, either in January or at the end of the season.

"I feel at ease here, it is a great club, very well organised and I would like to go on with my career here," said Cheyrou.

Bordeaux are also trying to sign Fernando Menegazzo on a permanent deal, as he has impressed at the club since joining on loan from Siena.
