Ronald Koeman thinks Simao Sabrosa will show Liverpool what they are missing.
Ronald Koeman has tipped Simao Sabrosa to shine on Tuesday night, because the Benfica midfielder is keen on a move to England.
Benfica's UEFA Champions League opponents Liverpool failed with a concerted attempt to sign the attacking midfielder in the summer and both Chelsea and Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in him.
It means the Estadio da Luz clash against the European champions will be the perfect stage for Simao to strut his stuff, after scoring against United earlier in the competition.
"It is true that it was spoken about [a move to Liverpool]," said coach Ronald Koeman. "And there continues to be a lot of talk about the possibility of Simao going to England.
"I expect that that motivates him still more, to play well and show that he has the potential to play in England.
"That could be more of a reason for him to show why Liverpool had an interest.
"The team is very motivated but it's good at times to have another kind of incentive.
"If he plays well, it will be good for him - and also for us."
