Roma defender Philippe Mexes has pledged to stay at the club.

Philippe Mexes has pledged to stay at Roma.

The Frenchman has been linked with a possible move away from Stadio Olimpico with the likes of Milan, Juventus and Liverpool all credited with an interest in the player.

Reports have suggested Mexes has a get-out clause in his contract at Roma, but the former Auxerre man insists he is not thinking about a departure from the Italian capital.

"I'm absolutely not interested in that clause," said Mexes.

"I'm a Roma player and I feel myself Roman. My aim is to win with this jersey.

"I have not signed with the Giallorossi to remain here only two seasons."
