Have your view on Jermaine Pennant's move to Anfield.
It's a great signing. He can deliver good balls and has pace. He will be good linking play with the strikers like Bellamy and Crouch. He can also score goals which is a plus so he won't be nervous in front of goal.
It's great to see someone at Liverpool who isn't scared to buy players and offload the players we're carrying in the team. Houllier was a horder and it was about time we go rid of some dead wood. Look out Chelsea!
Being a Birmingham City fan, I think that Pennant is wrong to leave Birmingham City for all what Steve Bruce did for him, like when he never gave up on him when he got charged for drinking and driving and in the Evening Mail last week Pennant said he would stay loyal to Blues. What a load of lies that was.
I believe that Pennant is an excellent signing for Liverpool, he has speed and can deliever superb crosses. Rafa should be really credited with his signings this summer, he seems to be the only manager looking to improve his squad and he still hasn't spent over £15m. Well done Rafa.
A great signing for Liverpool. No other player put more crosses into the box last season than Pennant. Crouch and Fowler will be rubbing their hands with glee.
I have never doubted the boy's quality but it's his temperment that worries me. Bellamy and Pennant, I smell double trouble. BUT He was the player with the most crosses last year and I think to myself, where did those crosses go BUT he had Heskey to aim at so Crouchie and co can look forward to more chances in front of goal.
I think Pennant will be good for Liverpool, because he is a player that runs downs the wing and crosses the ball, most of those crosses will and should hit Crouch's head or feet. He is also a scorer not afraid of gettin in the box. He will be a hit along with the rest of Benitez's signings this season.
Being a Liverpool fan I'm delighted to see new English talent coming into the side amongst the other summer signings. I just hope Pennant has put his 'bad-boy' days behind him and proves himself to be worth the £6.7million we paid for him. Benitez has showed a lot of faith this summer in players who have proved difficult in the past, so I hope they can show Rafa and LFC the respect they deserve and help us win the league this year.
