Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has backed striker Luis Suarez after the striker was handed an eight-game suspension by the Football Association.
The Uruguay international was found guilty of misconduct by an Independent Regulatory Commission after Manchester United defender Patrice Evra claimed he had been racially abused during the Premier League clash at Anfield in October.
Suarez's ban will not come into force until the Reds have decided if they are to appeal against the verdict, which seems certain given their immediate response, with the penalty then held over until any further hearing has concluded.
The Anfield outfit have always given the striker their full backing over the affair and are continuing to support him in the wake of the FA's judgement.
The former Ajax forward will be available to Dalglish for Wednesday night's Premier League clash with Wigan and it will be interesting to see if he is selected.
Dalglish has used his personal Twitter account to voice his feelings on the matter and is sure to be quizzed further in the coming days.
He wrote: "Very disappointed with today's verdict.
"This is the time when @luis16suarez needs our full support. Let's not let him walk alone. KD"
