As Sky Sports News HQ reporters prepare to travel up and down the country again for 92Live on Tuesday, Jim White picks his five favourite memories from the 2013 broadcasting marathon .
Cardiff City
JIM SAYS: How times have changed at Cardiff. Malky Mackay was the manager in 2013 and had his new signing, Steven Caulker, waiting for us.
I remember the number of Cardiff fans who showed up for our arrival and they were all waiting for us when we got out the helicopter.
It was a truly special moment and Malky was the toast of the club at that stage because Cardiff were really going places. That was a really special moment for Cardiff City fans and 92Live.
Swansea City
JIM SAYS: From Cardiff we headed up the road by chopper to Swansea and outsider the supporters’ shop there were thousands of fans waiting for us that day and to buy the new kit.
Swansea ambassador Lee Trundle was there for us and so too was club chairman Huw Jenkins.
Huw realised 92Live was something special because he said: “Apart from a matchday I have never seen so many Swansea fans in one place at one time.” Such was the magic of 92Live.
Wigan Athletic
JIM SAYS: Another great memory was the arrival at the DW Stadium. The helicopter landed on the pitch, we got out and then I remembered none of us had made any inroads into telling the Wigan people we were arriving there.
As Dave Whelan came up to me the first thing I said was: “Mr Chairman, I take it that it’s okay if we land on your pitch?” And we had already done that! It was a great moment and they laid out the red carpet, which you always get when Dave Whelan is around.
Liverpool
JIM SAYS: Another truly memorable moment was arriving at Anfield. We landed in a car park near the stadium and spoke to Ian Ayre, the managing director of Liverpool, and one thing was one his mind: Luis Suarez.
Was he staying? Was he going? Ian made it quite clear to me that he didn’t want to go too heavily into that topic, we were just to touch on it and then move on.
If memory serves me right we spent seven minutes deliberating on Luis Suarez. Liverpool fans certainly found out a lot more about the situation that day.
Manchester United
JIM SAYS: My final memory was when it was all done and dusted and we finished the day at Manchester United. David Moyes was the new manager in charge and United were looking ahead to the new season.
I remember speaking to a few supporters around the ground who were very excited about the season ahead. Then we were inside the ground and we signed off from the phenomenal stadium that is Old Trafford.
I then caught the train back to London and remember not knowing much about that train journey and sleeping all the way from Manchester.
We look forward to 92Live this time and there will be plenty of twists and turns and headline stories coming our way again.
