Martin's Starting Stat

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the Friday night hero this week and punished Claude Puel once again. He scored 11 goals in seven games against his Nice side and now has two in one against his Southampton. He now has 396 club goals in 680 matches.

Southampton won the two previous games at Manchester United in the Premier League. The only side to win three in a row at Old Trafford in the Premier League era is Manchester City.

Highlights from Old Trafford as Man Utd took on Southampton in the Premier League.

On Saturday I went to Burnley who beat Liverpool for the first time in a league match since 1974 with their first league goal against them since 1975. It was also their first league win at Turf Moor against Liverpool since 1973.

Sam Vokes' opener was a very special goal as it was their first home league goal in the Premier League in six games. The last came on March 14, 2015 from George Boyd. Since then the home results have been 0-0 v Spurs, 0-1 v Arsenal, 0-1 v Leicester, 0-0 v Stoke and 0-1 home Swansea.

Early risers

Hull have won two games out of two but what's the best start for a promoted side in the PL? Jeff

MARTIN SAYS: Hull are only the second promoted side in Premier League history to win their opening two matches after Bolton in 2001/02. In fact they recorded three straight wins against Leicester (5-0 away), Middlesbrough and Liverpool. They still finished 16th - four points above the relegation zone.

Nottingham Forest recorded the longest unbeaten run for a newly-promoted side at the start of a season in 1994/95, when they went 11 matches without losing. With eight wins and three draws, Forest were two points off the top of the table when the run eventually came to an end with defeat against Blackburn. They finished third that season.

Ipswich and Blackburn both enjoyed strong starts in 1992/93 having been promoted to the top flight. Ipswich went eight matches without losing while Blackburn managed a seven-game unbeaten run.

By contrast, Swindon hold the record for the longest winless start by a newly-promoted side after they went 15 matches without a victory in 1993/94. The Robins finished bottom of the table that season.

Norwich started the 04/05 campaign with a 13-match winless run while Burnley and Watford went 10 games without winning in 14/15 and 06/07 respectively.

Pair of penalties

Has it ever happened before that a player has scored a penalty in the first two games of the season like Sergio Aguero? Tony

MARTIN SAYS: Aguero is the fourth player to score a penalty in the first two games of a Premier League season (although in between those two matches he missed two penalties against Steaua in the Champions League).

Duncan Ferguson (2001/02), Frank Lampard (2012/13) and Roberto Soldado (2013/14) are the other players to have done it, but none of them managed to score from the spot for a third successive match.

There are, though, four players who have scored penalties in three consecutive Premier League games (any time in the season).

Highlights as Stoke took on Manchester City in the Premier League

Arsenal's Ian Wright was the first to achieve the feat in 1994, scoring from the spot against Oldham, Ipswich and then Southampton.

Ruud van Nistelrooy did the same for Manchester United in early 2003, converting four penalties in three consecutive games.

Michael Owen scored three in a row later that year and Crystal Palace's Yohan Cabaye did it last season against Watford, West Brom and West Ham.

See if Aguero can set a new record when Manchester City play West Ham live on Super Sunday on Sky Sports 1.

Bolasie's Baggies brace

Yannick Bolasie played West Brom twice to start the season, is this a first? Mike

MARTIN SAYS: Yes it is. Bolasie made Premier League history by facing West Brom on the opening day of the season with Crystal Palace and then again the following weekend, this time with Everton. He is the first player to play against the same side on the first two matchdays of a Premier League season.

Gaston Ramirez played the same opposition in his first two appearances of the season in 2014/15. Having started the campaign with Southampton, he faced West Ham on August 30, before taking on the Hammers again two weeks later after he had moved to Hull.

Stephen Warnock did something similar in the 2006/07 season. His first appearance in the league saw him face Chelsea in September while he was at Liverpool. He played several cup matches over the next few months but his next league game was against Chelsea in January, but after he had moved to Blackburn.

Covering ground

Can you list every stadium to have hosted a Premier League game and how many league games have been played in each? Rob

MARTIN SAYS: The London Stadium became the 55th ground to have hosted a Premier League game at the weekend when West Ham beat Bournemouth.

With several sides having been in the Premier League since its inception, there are a few grounds where 463 games have been played - Goodison Park, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and White Hart Lane. Both Villa Park and Anfield have hosted 462, although only Liverpool will be able to add to that total this season.

It's a similar story for Newcastle's St James' Park, which will be stuck on 422 games for at least one season, while West Ham's previous home, Upton Park, hosted 384 games.

Have many 30-year-olds have scored more than 10 goals in a season? Asking after Zlatan Ibrahimovic's good start to the season Marcus

MARTIN SAYS: There are a number of players to have achieved this feat, with Gianfranco Zola the oldest to have passed the 10-goal mark, scoring 14 in 2002/03 at the age of 36. Teddy Sheringham was also 36, but slightly younger than Zola, when he netted 12 in the same season.

The only other 36-year-old to pass 10 goals was Les Ferdinand in 2003/04, when he netted 12 times. The most prolific over-30 was Didier Drogba, who scored 29 goals at the age of 31 in the 2009/10 season and won the Golden Boot. In that same season, a 31-year-old Frank Lampard netted 22 goals from midfield for Chelsea.

Ian Wright was 32 when he scored 23 goals in 1996/97 while Alan Shearer was the same age when he netted 22 times in 2003/04. Peter Beardsley was the first player in the Premier League over 30 to break the 20-goal mark, scoring 21 goals in the 1993/93 season.

Ibrahimovic heads home for Man Utd against Southampton

The most recent 30-year-olds to score 10 or more goals were Jermain Defoe last season with 15 and Graziano Pelle with 11.

Zlatan turns 35 on October 3. Could he become the oldest player to get 15 Premier League goals?
