Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit does not think the Gunners will sign the likes of Karim Benzema or Kylian Mbappe this summer.

He told bwin: "If I am Benzema, I don't leave Real Madrid for Arsenal. Never. If Madrid want me to stay, I don't leave.

"Mbappe will never come to Arsenal as he will cost at least 100m euros and you have to break the salary cap and I don't see Arsenal doing that."

It was reported yesterday that Bayern Munich's interest in Alexis Sanchez might have cooled, and the Daily Mail say Arsenal have made the Chilean a new contract offer in a bid to keep him at the club.
