Alexandre Lacazette says Arsenal's defensive improvements have been key to their recent good form and there was no sense of panic following a tough start to the season.
The striker scored twice to seal a 2-0 win against West Brom at the Emirates Stadium last night to lift them up to seventh in the table.
Arsene Wenger's side are unbeaten in September and have also kept three clean sheets following defeats to Liverpool and Stoke in August.
"There was no feeling of panic in the team," said Lacazette. "We knew that working together would pay off. During the month of September we have reconstructed ourselves defensively. We won [against West Brom] and we won with a clean sheet."
The France international has now scored four times for Arsenal since his arrival from Lyon in the summer and became the first Gunners player to net twice in his opening three home league games since Brian Marwood in 1988.
Lacazette added: "They said I [equalled Marwood], but I am not looking for this particular type of record but more stability with the team."
