ARSENAL'S Lithuanian international striker, Tomas Danilevicius, has been given clearance to resume his career with The Gunners.
Highbury chief, Arsene Wenger, said on Friday that Danilevicius would not be allowed to play for Arsenal until the confusion, over whether the Lithuanian had a legitimate Greek passport, was resolved.
But now the club have confirmed that the Russian born player does have all the proper documentation hich makes him an EU citizen and therefore eligible for Premiership action without a work-permit.
In a statement the North London giants said: "Arsenal FC has made an extensive effort to confirm the status of Tomas Danilevicius, in response to recent allegations that his Greek passport was false.
"The club has been liaising very closely with the UK authorities and sent Mr Danilevicius' passport to the Immigration Service for expert examination.
"The Immigration Service has examined Mr Danilevicius' passport and confirmed that the document is not counterfeit and appears to have been genuinely issued by the relevant authorities."
