The 30-year-old star has recently been scouted by the English club, after Arsenal sent a representative to their 4-2 home defeat against high-flyers Celta Vigo.
The former Atletico Madrid keeper is an ever-present this season for the Spanish outfit, and harbours hopes of making the squad for the World Cup after being a surprise inclusion in Jose Antonio Camacho's squad against Mexico.
"I have had contact with Valladolid and my future is in this team," said Ricardo. "If the rumours are true, then we will see what to do."
"Arsenal are one of the great clubs and it would be wonderful to be able to play there.
"If I have to go abroad my preference is for England, but now I'm only thinking about Valladolid," concluded Ricardo.
The Gunners are keen to strengthen their goalkeeping options open, with David Seaman closing in on the end of his career and question marks still hanging over the heads of youngsters Richard Wright and Stuart Taylor.
