With one Italian newspaper report even going as far as to suggest that Arsene Wenger is on the bianconeri's wanted list to take over as manager, should Marcelo Lippi get the national team job, Moggi's words should ease any concern at Highbury.
"We have not dealt with Vieira during the August market and we do not have any intention to deal with him in January, when it is possible to acquire footballers who play in a foreign country," Moggi told calciomanager.it.
"Ljungberg? His name is linked a lot to Juventus.
"I do not put an argument against his value but, as far as the presumed contacts with Arsenal are concerned, that is not the case at the moment.
"We are not dealing with him like we have not dealt in the past."
Moggi did admit an interest in Auxerre's Phillipe Mexes, who is also a long-term target for Manchester United.
"Mexes is a young defender of value who Juventus follows with attention," he revealed.
"Not for an immediate signing, but he can be an interesting one for the future."
