The Turkish international - who was once again linked with Premiership Arsenal in the Italian media on Monday - is expected to put pen to paper later this week.
Emre revealed he had always wanted to stay at Inter and was looking forward to a lengthy spell at the San Siro.
"I think that when it (the contract) expires I'll still be the right age to play football, because I'm 22 and in 2007 I'll be 27, and I'll still want to play in the Inter jersey," he said.
The former Galatasaray star also outlined his desire to make up for the heartbreak of missing out on last season's title on the final day.
"The Scudetto is very important for Inter and we have to win it," he declared.
"Many people suffered last year and we have to win it for us and for all our supporters.
"I'm very happy being here, I feel like I'm at home. Everyone, players and staff are like brothers for me, and I'm playing in one of the world's most important teams."
