Wenger is keen to have a fully fit squad available to him for the Red Devils showdown at Highbury next Wednesday, with the game being billed as a title decider.
Robert Pires has been ruled out of the FA Cup semi-final with an ankle injury and Wenger is determined to have him fit to face Sir Alex Ferguson's men.
David Seaman and Martin Keown are unlikely to be risked, having just recovered from injury, with Stuart Taylor and Oleg Luzhny set to start in their places.
"What we don't want is for him (Pires) to aggravate the injury so I don't think I will play him," admitted Wenger.
"We have got this far and now we want to get to the final. If we get there, it will be for the third season running and I don't know too many other teams who have done that.
"We will be giving our best on Sunday, but I have to keep the league game in mind - especially where players coming back from injury or who have slight injury problems are concerned."
