There are no surprises in the squad with Real Madrid's Roberto Carlos unavailable for selection because of his imposed suspension from Fifa.
Parreira says he is reluctant to make any wholesale changes to the squad because the team is getting positive results.
"Who has to worry about renewing their squad," said the World Cup winning boss of 1994.
"France were eliminated in the first phase of last summer's World Cup. Brazil does not need to, therefore I will stick with the team that is formed by the majority with young players."
There is a place in the squad for superstar Rivaldo, despite the flamboyant wizard's recent troubles with club side Milan.
"Rivaldo has not played with consistency, but that is not a problem for us, but it is for the trainer of Milan (Carlo Ancelotti). But I am sure he has his reasons for not playing him," added Parreira.
"The same has also happened to other players ."
Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva said the change in personnel at the helm of the national side since the World Cup, means there is great tension before each squad is officially announced.
"Each invitation you get to the team is a great pleasure," said Gilberto.
"Before it's announced, there is great tension. The coach could decide to call-up other players."
