The young defender's representative Olivier Jouanneaux claims that Mexes is set to remain at the Stade Abbe-Deschamps despite interest from a number of clubs.
The 21-year-old has been in dispute with the club regarding his new contract with Auxerre.
Mexes signed a fresh contract in December to extend his stay by another year to 2006 - however, Auxerre saw fit to cancel the agreement and this was later ratified by the French Olympic Committee.
Auxerre want him to honour his contract until 2006, but the player's lawyer Jean-Louis Dupont has asked an industrial tribunal for a ruling against the decision.
Arsenal and Roma have been watching developments closely, but Jouanneaux insists he will now stay at Auxerre.
"He will 100 % an Auxerre player this season," said Jouanneaux. "He will resume here whatever will happen and will stay at least until December.
"Only in the worst hypothesis for us and the club he could eventually leave at that date."
