Reyes reiterates Real desire

Arsenal star Jose Antonio Reyes has again stated his desire to play for Real Madrid.

Arsenal star Jose Antonio Reyes has again stated his desire to play for Real Madrid.

The Spanish international was caught out by a radio prank last month and he was duped into talking about how much he would like to move to Real and that he was not happy with life in North London.

After a blistering start to the season, which saw him grab five goals in his first five games, he has become subdued and has failed to recapture any sort of form.

That has led to reports of him being homesick and now the former Sevilla star has reiterated that he would love to play for Real.

"It is clear that it is an honour that Real Madrid is interested in me," Reyes told Marca.

"Anyone would want to play for such a great club, but for this, the directors must speak.

"They are the people who must reach agreement, Madrid must go to Arsenal."

Reyes moved to Highbury in 2003, but it seems he may be heading back to his homeland this summer - if Arsenal agree to let him leave and if they receive a suitable offer.
