Jose Antonio Reyes has again made clear his desire to sign for Real Madrid.Jose Antonio Reyes has again made clear his desire to sign for Real Madrid in the summer.
The Arsenal forward has been linked with the Spanish giants for the past couple of months having become unsettled off the pitch in England.
He was tricked into confessing how he would relish a move to Real during a hoax phone call on Spanish radio last month, but subsequently went on to admit openly his desire to return to his homeland.
Now, speaking at a press conference ahead of Spain's forthcoming games with China and Serbia & Montenegro, he again left the assembled media in little doubt as to whether he would welcome a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.
"It's clear that any player in the world would like to play for Real Madrid," he stated.
"It's a very big club and you never close the door to them."
It was recently reported that Reyes' agent, Jesus Rodriguez de Moya, met with Arsenal to broker a fee for which The North Londoners would be willing to do business with Real, but Reyes insists he has no knowledge of any negotiations regarding his transfer.
"The clubs must reach an agreement first and the price of the transfer must be agreed with Arsenal," he continued.
"But I don't worry about this at all, I only think about playing and I have my representative for these things."
It seems increasingly likely that the 21-year-old will quit Highbury in the summer, but Arsenal will be keen to recoup most of the £17 million fee - of which they have so far paid around £10 million - that they paid Sevilla for him last summer.
