Thierry Henry is back in the Arsenal squad for Wednesday's game with Everton.
Thierry Henry is back in the Arsenal squad for Wednesday's Prem Plus clash with Everton.
The Premiership's top scorer has been sidelined with a groin injury and was rated a major doubt for the FA Cup final against Manchester United in Cardiff.
However, the Frenchman is back in Arsene Wenger's plans for the match with fourth-placed Everton at Highbury in midweek and, barring any setbacks, looks certain to lead the line against United in Wales.
"Thierry is back in the squad," confirmed Wenger at a press conference.
"It's very encouraging.
"He has worked hard in training and has joined in normal training with the squad. I don't think he has a physical problem, it's more competition that he needs."
The French forward might start on the substitutes' bench before being unleashed back into action.
One piece of bad news for Wenger is that Gilberto Silva is to miss the Toffees clash through an ankle injury.
The Brazilian midfielder is an influential member of the side and was sorely missed when absent earlier this season.
"Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires will be alright but Gilberto is out of the game tomorrow," added Wenger.
"Yes, it's a blow because I want him to have games at the moment because he needs them but it doesn't look to be a bad injury.
"There's a chance he'll play on Sunday but it's an ankle problem.
"Freddie Ljungberg is improving and getting slowly better."
