Philippe Senderos would love to sign a new long-term contract with Arsenal.Philippe Senderos is delighted with the way his Arsenal career is going, and would love to sign a new long-term contract at Highbury.
The 20-year-old defender was a revelation in the latter half of the season as he formed a formidable partnership at the heart of defence with Kolo Toure.
The Swiss stopper even kept Sol Campbell out of the side, forcing the England man to sit on the bench in the FA Cup final.
Senderos' improvement has prompted talk of a new contract from Arsene Wenger, and the former Servette man says he would love to sign a new deal.
"I would love to stay," said Senderos.
"I'm very happy at the club and now they've given me the opportunity to play, I'm really enjoying myself.
"This year has been great and I thank everyone who stuck by me when I was injured.
"I now have good friends at Arsenal and that's what you need."
